I have listened to this podcast 5 times in the past 4 months as we try to figure out sleep for our daughter. (A couple times I listened to it in the middle of the night, while pacing the floor with a screaming baby!) Dr. Satterwhite is so knowledgeable – I appreciate not only hearing HOW to teach your baby to sleep but also WHY babies’ sleep patterns change at this age and why various methods of helping your baby sleep are successful or not. As a very tired mom, I needed Dr. Satterwhite’s upbeat attitude and “no-nonsense” approach to this subject!

My baby slept well at night from 3-5 months old and then was waking as often as every 45-60 minutes for 3 months. Listening to Dr. Satterwhite’s podcast was a huge relief as I learned that this happens often with other children as well. The podcast taught me what is normal for a baby in the 6-12 month age-range (normal number of hours of sleep, normal sleep cycles), explained why my baby’s sleep had changed and offered different strategies for helping my baby learn how to be a good sleeper again. My baby now is sleeping much better, and I am very grateful! I highly recommend this podcast and appreciate Dr. Satterwhite’s understanding and help with my child!

My husband and I have enjoyed Dr. Satterwhite’s balanced approach to sleep training. How refreshing to hear accurate medical information couched in a loving parent’s perspective. It’s so helpful to download the podcast and have it to listen to again when new problems arise.

I was so surprised and disheartened when my 6 month old starting waking up every hour or two at night– he had always been a good sleeper and I couldn’t figure out what I was doing wrong. So, I listened to Dr. Bill’s podcast in the hope that I would gain some wisdom and I did. I learned that it wasn’t me or my little one, but that his sleep cycles had changed (almost literally overnight) and that it was totally normal. That alone made me feel better. But the most helpful part of this podcast were the tips and strategies to help make my little man a better sleep for his sake and mine! Within a week, we had actually improved our schedule from before and his sleep pattern and he was back to sleeping soundly and self-soothing. Such a relief! I then applied the strategies to his naps– which he has always fought– and i am now pleased to say he naps and sleeps great for us. I found the information in Dr. Bill’s podcast to be so helpful that I sent the link to my cousin who lives in the eastern part of the state and she is going to use them, too. I appreciated not only the tips, but the fact that I learned some scientific information about what is the “norm” at this age and also multiple strategies to help so that I could pick what worked best for me. This won’t be my last podcast!

This podcast was so helpful for my husband and I. This one reassured us about the things were doing correctly (putting our daughter down awake, establishing a consistent bedtime routine) and also gave us a warning that our daughter would begin waking up more often during the night. Although this didn’t happen right away, sure enough within a couple months, she did wake up several times through the night crying. Hearing about this on Dr. Satterwhite’s podcast helped to reassure me that my daughter wasn’t sick or in pain and everything was ok. After using a couple different suggestions from the podcast to get her back to sleep, it only took a few nights until the night wakings stopped- or at least she was able to put herself back to sleep when she did wake up!

This podcast was really encouraging, though I listened to it a little too late in the process. He gave me the courage to do what I knew I needed to do but couldn’t manage to do alone ;) thank you.
